Visiting for darshan for last 16 years when there was very few hotels in katra. Found this Hotel Maa on banganga road. We selected this hotel because of Trikuta hill View from the balcony. The staff is very good and very cooperative. Best thing is they adjust with your requirement. Food is good and can cook on Kids demand also. But we enjoy dhabha food which are plenty outside. Best is it in way of banganga so easy reachable. Pithu comes upto the hotel and delivers the bag coming down. Hotel has good travel contacts and arrange for travel like kangra valley devi darshan or local tour. Very good stay point with family.

Hotel staff is good , but somewhat slow, food is good , god view of mata bhawan from balcony, keen staff, required to improve room services, overall a good place to stay with family with a less budget.

i visit katra every year, and book the same hotel till now. Room was clean and well maintained, Room service and food was Good, but Washroom needs some improvements and good maintenance. Staff was also good and responsible and reception needs some attention.

I have been to Katra 3 times till now. This time i did stay @ hotel maa in dec 2013 Its located in the middle of the city. Hardly 5 mins walk from Katra bus stand and behind Marketplace. Very near to Banganga road , if you are planning to go by walk ,then its convenient to reach to banganga by Auto Rooms were good nice,very clean and spacious. Toilets were well maintained. Service was quick and they served delicious food Food was good but you won't find any dining room where you can have lovely dinner/lunch with your family. All they have is room service ONLY. Overall i would rate is 3/5 Room Tip: go for double deluxe room (AC / non AC based on your choice)

I have been to Katra 4 times till now. This year (2014) , first time i did stay @ hotel maa. Pros Its located in the heart of the city. Hardly 5 mins walk from Katra bus stand. Very near to Banganga road , if you are planning to go by walk ,then its convenient to reach to banganga by Taxi, Auto (its applicable only while going to the temple, while returning you can't take the same route since its one way) Rooms were nice and clean Toilets were well maintained. Service was quick and they served delicious food Cons: 1)Now some bitter part of the story. As i mentioned , this was my 4th trip to Katra. but never seen 'such tight professional behavior' from any of the hotels. We were there in this hotel for 2 nights -(we paid them 2000 bucks, i,e 1000 bucks per night) , hotel staff doesn't provide any kind of transport to us while going to helipad and returning back from banganga...this is least expected from any of the hotels. (last time we had done our stay in hotel satya shree, they had provided us Van / Cab for both the journeys). When you ask Auto, they will charge Rs 150 for 2 kms 2)Let's come to the food, - Food was good no doubt but in this hotel you won't find any dining room where you can have lovely dinner/lunch with your family. All they have is room service ONLY. they will serve the food in your room @ 12% extra service charge - BEWARE of this hidden cost!! 3) Hotel staff was not supportive at all Overall i would rate is 3/5
